A Gentle Pause: Setting Intentions for the Year Ahead

A Few Intentions I’m Carrying Into This Year

I’ve taken some time to reflect over these last couple of weeks on the areas of life that matter most to me. Sharing these here is less about perfection and more about intention (and a little accountability, let’s be honest!).

  • Wellbeing: Consistent strength training 3–4 times a week, including a weekly PT session.

  • Money: Saving a meaningful amount, ideally towards that long-talked-about house or unit deposit we keep wishing for

  • Career: Being proactive, not reactive, in how I show up with my team and leadership.

  • Physical Space: Zenning the zone, my fave things to do, clearing and culling using just 1% of my day (around 14 minutes).

  • Spirituality: Consistency, whether through yoga, Miracle Mornings, or simply creating space to pause.

  • Love: More date nights, more fun!

  • Self-care: Making healthier choices where I can, while still living a fabulous, guilt-free life.

  • Family & Friends: More connection, more time, more meaningful catch-ups.

One Small Step Is Enough

Seeing intentions like this written out, sometimes can feel like a lot, but it doesn’t need to be.

Even one small intention in each area is enough to begin. Progress comes from gentle, consistent steps, not doing everything at once. Consistency is a big thing that Im trying to focus on a lot more this year.

Something I Always Return To: The Wheel of Life

When I need some clarity, I always revert back to use the Wheel of Life, a simple way to look at your life as a whole, rate each area out of 10, and see where a little more love might be needed.

You can do this exercise at any time, not just in January at the start of a new year. At the start of a new month, a new season, or whenever life feels slightly off balance.

If you’d like a copy of my Wheel of Life template, you can find it here. Listen to the webinar to help guid you through, or simply just print off the PDF

Here’s to slowing down, setting intentions, and moving forward gently.
