A Place To Pause: Wellness Journal
A few months back, I shared a thought on my Instagram stories, that it would be a cool idea to create an e-book. But the more I sat with that idea, the more I realised how much I personally love, and actual book. Pages you can turn and pick up easily where you left off.
I wanted something calm and grounding that I could also use during my into my Miracle Mornings, something that didn’t buzz, ping, or demand more of my attention. A journal that could live on a bedside table, in a handbag, or come along on that girls’ weekend away.
That’s where A Place to Pause all began.
It all started because life for me felt very full in 2025. Full in amazing ways. Full in tiring ways. Full of plans, people, emotions, and very little quiet in between. I’m talking Surgical Menopause, Acting as my boss at work, ( I scored his role in the end!) a Leadership Management Challenge that certainly fast tracked my career growth and then you also throw a teenager into the mix! WOW, just wow.
I began writing prompts for myself, the kind a close friend might (or has ask). Then over time, those prompts became pages. And then those pages became this journal you see here today.
This journal is for the woman who:
feels like she’s been holding a lot lately
wants reflection without overwhelm
needs permission to slow down
loves the feel of a real book
It’s also a thoughtful gift for a friend, a sister, or someone heading into a new season. And for me personally over the years, I have been asked by sooo many, what should I get someone that’s just been diagnosed with cancer.
There’s no pressure to write beautifully. No need to fill every page. No right order. The gentle prompts are there, designed to meet you where you are, whether you have two minutes or twenty. This journal isn’t about fixing. It’s about noticing and being aware of what’s on your mind.
There’s no rulebook, but here are a few simple ideas that might give you some Inspo when it comes to using yours…
in the morning, before your day is pulled into a million other directions by others
at night, once your space has been reset, and you are jumping into bed or winding down on the couch
while travelling or away for a weekend, perfect to pull out on the plane or that daybed you have busting to lay on
those moments alone in the car, with nothing but traffic (or waiting for kids sports) and your thoughts.
A sentence is enough. A page is enough.
A Place to Pause is my invitation to you, to slow down. To sit with yourself. To breathe. To give yourself a moment, without any expectations.
If this journal finds its way onto your bedside table, into your bag, or gifted to someone you love, I hope it gives you what it gave me.
A place to pause.
