5 Reasons why I’m loving my UP Card
No more trying to remember who paid for what or doing dodgy maths at the end of your trip.
1. Slicing transactions with friends
This was the feature that got me hooked! Perfect for girls' trips, dinners, holidays. You can split expenses and keep track of who owes what without the usual back and forth.
2. Creating savings buckets for literally anything
You can create multiple savers (up to 50!) and getting as specific as you like.
A few of my current are:
Girls' trips 🍹
Car rego 🚗
Christmas fund🎄
Family Euro trip 🇪🇸🇬🇷🇮🇹
3. The visual side of saving
As a very visual person, this might be my favourite part. I love adding emojis to my goals and seeing the percentage bubble build as I get closer to the amount I'm aiming for.
There is something about actually seeing your progress that makes saving feel far more motivating than just looking at one big number in a bank account.
4. Set and Forget
You can use features like Round Ups, Pay Splitting and Auto Transfers to move money into your Savers without having to constantly think about it, which is a big bonus for me
5. No monthly account fees and some handy travel perks
Up's Everyday account has no monthly fee’s for standard use, and Up also advertises no international transaction fees for overseas card purchases. That definitely made it a handy one to have while travelling.
The biggest pro for me?
It makes saving fun.
From my (guilt free) girls getaway to the very unsexy (an annoying expense) of car rego. Being able to separate our goals and actually watch the money grow has been a total game changer.
Saving can often feel like you're constantly saying no to things. But when you can see exactly what you're saving for, it actually makes it feel really exciting.
And for me, anything that combines organisation, emojis, a visual progress and helping me save money is a winner in my books. 😂
