Oh my gosh, am I onto something here?!
With summer right around the corner and a few spring Aperols already underway, this is such a fun little twist on the classic Aperol Spritz!
Bring them out at your next BBQ for a bit of fun, enjoy a few pre-gummies before a girl’s night out, or simply make them just because… why not?!
A little taste of Italian summer, with a playful gummy twist.
Ingredients
200g fresh orange segments (skin and pith removed)
100ml Prosecco
65ml Aperol
35ml soda water
4 tbsp gelatin (I use Nutra Organics Grass Fed Gelatin)
Method – Aldi Thermo Cooker
Add the orange segments to the Thermo. Cook on Speed 1, 3 minutes, 100°C.
Then pour half of the Prosecco into a small bowl and sprinkle the gelatin over the top. Allow to bloom.
Once the orange has cooked, blend on Speed 6 for 20 seconds until smooth.
Add the bloomed gelatin and mix on Speed 1, 2 minutes, 70°C (or until completely dissolved).
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the remaining Prosecco, Aperol and soda water.
Mix on Speed 2 for 15 seconds until combined.
Transfer into a jug or small bottle with a pouring nozzle and carefully fill your silicone moulds.
Place in the fridge to set. Allow around 1–2 hours, or until firm.
Enjoy your little taste of Italian summer! 🍊
